Through its Corporate Social Responsibility Program SM CARES Committee on Elderly Affairs, SM Supermalls nationwide conducts monthly activities geared towards promoting the welfare of the elderly sector.
Last March 1, SM City Davao held the Seniors Day at the Mall at the Event Centre. Approximately 160 elderly persons joined the event. The afternoon was filled with informative forum regarding elderly concerns.
PhilHealth PR Officer II Ms Bernadith Ipanag discussed the PHIC programs which the senior sector may avail of. Caritas Foundation Secretary of the Board Ms Cristy Gallano shared her expertise on Organic Healing and Alternative Medication while Fr. Nestor Dalumpines discussed about Spiritual Stewardship.
The newly appointed Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs Head Ms Azucena Bajao expressed her gratitude to SM City Davao for continually promoting the welfare of the senior sector of the community.
