Teh tarik literally means "pulled tea". It is a hot Malaysian tea beverage which is commonly found in restaurants, outdoor stalls and kopitiams in Malaysia. Its name is derived from the pouring process of "pulling" the drink during preparation. It is made from black tea and condensed milk.
Teh Tarik preparation. The process allows air to be incorporated in the mixture, producing the beverage's frothy top. The beverage becomes thoroughly mixed and is cooled to optimal drinking temperature in the process.
