Listen to songs which topped the billboard charts in refreshing renditions by singer-songwriter Lui Castillo and Davao’s Chill@7 on July 16 at the SM Davao Event Centre.
Lui Castillo recently released her debut EP- Lui Stories under Tango Records Digital Music. The album is composed of 4 tracks which showcase her different musical styles. The first track, Live for Today, is a fun reggae track that you can take to the beach. It talks about living in the moment and enjoying life. A perfect summer song! The second song, Kakaibang Saya, is a jazzy track with catchy guitar lines and fun lyrics. The third track, I Write You Letters, written by Cebuano singer/songwriter Makuz Cortez, is an emotional duet that tells a story through the lyrical dialogue. The song is part of the Soundtrack for Jerrold Tarog’s well-acclaimed indie film “Senior Year” (2011). The last track, Katok, shows the alt-rock flavor of Lui’s musicality.
With Chill@7, the show promises to fill everyone’s Saturday afternoon with blissful music, perfect for a relaxing weekend.
