PARISIAN GETS NAUTICAL AND NICE AT SM
Sail into summer with stylish nautical inspired shoes from SM’s iconic Parisian label. These shipshape shoes in naval tricolors and stripes are perfect for a romantic cruise, a breezy beach escape, and navigating the city streets.
Make waves with wedgies and espadrilles, chunky platform heels, and ballet flats. Add more nautical knots with stylish stripes, ribbon ankle stripes, and dainty floral details.
Espadrilles became a hit with high society in the early 1900s, worn by the era’s celebrities at fashionable resorts in the Riviera. Originally called alpargatas and crafted by Spanish farmers from lightweight canvas and woven esparto grass soles, these have since become summer classics re-invited many times over. Parisian’s wedgies and peep toe espadrilles are modern day versions of this timeless look.
Platforms and chunky heels will let you walk tall this summer with ease. Parisian’s woven raffia and high- heeled cork creations are gaining sky- high popularity this summer.
Classic ballerina flats make graceful summer steps with dainty bows, pretty knots, and occasionally nautical stripes and floral details.
Perfectly photographed at Manila Hotel’s MS Philippines, the Parisian collection is available at the Ladies Shoes Department of all SM stores.

SM Davao celebrates National Heritage month with "Habi"
Habi (to weave) is the art of interlacing strands or materials in order to create a joint structure.
While costumes echo the rules of a culture, it brings together strands of history. With this, it is said that weavers and their artistry are forever preserved through civilizations.
While costumes echo the rules of a culture, it brings together strands of history. With this, it is said that weavers and their artistry are forever preserved through civilizations.
In the Philippines, weaving has been performed since pre-colonial times. This is manifested in the distinct weaving products unique to specific ethnic groups. Philippine weaving has developed a range from different kinds of textile, motif, and method of production.
In celebration of the National Heritage month, SM City Davao in cooperation with the Filipino Heritage Foundation, Inc. presents Habi: An Exhibit by Alfonso ‘Boy’ Guino-o on May 20-29 at the SM Davao Event Centre.
‘Habi’ serves as a tribute to the country’s ancestral and modern weavers, a recognition to their skills, and a celebration of tradition and artistry.
The exhibit is also made possible by Department of Tourism, Davao Region Tourism Council, Casino Filipino, and Southern Philippines Foundation for the Arts and Ecology.
Catch this dazzling kaleidoscope of colors, patterns and textures at SM City Davao—where we all come together.

Exhibit on PNoy’s Inaugural at SM City Davao
SM City Davao will host THE INAUGURAL photo exhibit on May 14-17 at the mall’s Atrium and May 18-21 at the Event Centre.
The exhibit, which is based on the book published by President Benigno Aquino III’s campaign media bureau Maria V. Montelibano, chronicles the campaign of President Aquino, son of President Corazon C. Aquino and assassinated political leader Benigno Aquino, Jr., through images by senior photojournalists and accounts written by participants of the unusual, volunteer-powered campaign that brought him to the presidency. The photographs and accounts in the book are witness to the making of a president by the phenomenon the world has come to understand as People Power.
THE INAUGURAL was first launched last February 17 at The Block at SM City North EDSA as part of the EDSA 25th Anniversary celebration. Vice President Jejomar Binay and Ms. Viel Aquino-Dee were the guests of honor in the event attended by government officials, People Power Commission members, as well as friends and relatives of the Aquino family.
At SM City Davao, the ceremonial launch is set on May 16, 5:00 PM.
