360° Hand Shaked Tea now at SM Davao!

Enjoy a refreshing tea drink with a twist at 360° Hand Shaked Tea. Oolong, red and green—take your pick from your favourite tea mix!

Oolong tea which is also called wu long tea, is one of those types of tea that is in between green and black. It is a sweet, floral, woody brew that consists of large leaves. This tea has also proven in studies that it can facilitate weight loss, and even decrease the progress of wrinkles and aging of the skin.

Red tea is a popular South African beverage made from the oxidized and dried leaves of the Aspalathis linearis plant. This beverage is also sometimes called rooibois, a reference to the parent plant. Native Africans have been using the leaves of this bush to prepare tea for centuries, and when European explorers were introduced to red tea, they acquired a taste for it.

Green tea is another well-known type and also offers great health benefits too. Grown and highly consumed in both China and Japan, this tea branches off into literally hundreds of varieties.

SM Global Pinoy holds Cineforum on Migration, Dec 13

SM Supermall’s Global Pinoy Center (GPC) in partnership with the Commission on Filipino Overseas (CFO) will be holding a cine-forum on December 13 in all SM Supermalls nationwide. In 2010, GPC and CFO held its first cineforum featuring the films Fidel and Rigodon. This year’s run will touch the unique challenges of Filipino migrants. The GPC activity will feature award-winning director Chito Rono’s EMIR.

The movie "EMIR" discusses issues involving overseas Filipino workers. It in 2010 won the Youssef Chahine  Award for Best Artistic Contribution at Cairo International Festival in Egypt. The musical film is set in a fictional emirate in the Middle East. It tells a story of a Filipina nanny who works for a royal family, and the plight of other Filipino workers who were caught in the middle of a political conflict.

With the cineforum, SM Cares, Global Pinoy and the CFO aims to increase public awareness on various concerns of Filipino migrants, their families and their communities and advocate for a stronger academic and media focus on migration issues.

At SM City Davao, the event will be held at the Cinema 1 on Tuesday. Admission is free.

Interested parties may call 297.6998 local 120 for inquiries and reservations. Visit www.smcitydavao.blogspot.com or like SM City Davao for event updates.
